Up & Down the Rainbow (Up & Down the River) Pickleball Tournament

Join us for a fun and fast-paced pickleball tournament designed for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced players. Please register for the group that best matches your skill level. The theme is St. Patricks Day, festive attire is encouraged.

• Format:
  • 5 rounds of play
  • Players will be assigned a number
  • A random teammate will be selected each round
  • Individuals move up or down based on wins and losses

• Cost: $25 per person

• Date: Sunday, March 22nd

This event is a fundraiser for the Helena YMCA. Tournament proceeds help ensure community accessibility by providing financial assistance and scholarships for individuals and families who may not be able to afford memberships or program fees.

Skill Level Guidelines

• Beginner (1.0–2.5):
  New to the game, learning basic rules (like the two-bounce rule), and developing fundamental skills such as serving, returning, and rallying.

• Intermediate (2.5–3.0):
  Can rally consistently, has a developing understanding of court strategy and positioning, and can control basic strokes and serves with moderate consistency.

• Advanced (3.5+):
  Plays with strong consistency and control, demonstrates advanced shot selection and placement, understands and executes strategic play (including dinks, drops, and resets), and communicates effectively with partners.
