Judo is an Olympic sport and martial art that teaches you how to make the most effective use of mind and body, applied to everyday life.  It nurtures self confidence, keeps you fit, and teaches useful self defense skills in a safe and practical way.  Judo is a special form of wrestling that utilizes throws, pins, chokes, and arm locks.


6:30-8:00 PM in the Aerobics Room 



Sessions are 2 times week for 4 weeks.







Max-Fit is a high-intensity, total body sport conditioning workout program incorporating cardio, strength training, weights, plyometric, & agility exercises.  You will be stronger, healthier, lose weight, tone up, & gain confidence!

Classes progress each week building upon 'skills & drills' learned on the speed ladder, through a dynamic warm-up with dot training and a circuit routine from the week(s) before.

The Y has something for everyone!  Whether you want to clear your mind (yoga), hit it hard (cycling, Strength Train Together), take it easy (SilverSneakers®) or move like you've never moved before (Zumba®, PiYo) you'll find our classes "fit" your needs and your lifestyle.  You'll have fun, feel great, meet new people, and stay healthy.  Our instructors love what they do and they love teaching at the Y, where our members feel welcome no matter where they are on their personal fitness journey.

Strength Train Together

The Y offers many group fitness classes all year long.  Read below for brief class descriptions. All our instructors welcome new participants, so bring a friend and check out a class or two!

Core De Force – NEW – Core De Force workouts are broken into 3-minute ‘rounds’ – just like a real boxing match. For 3 minutes, you’ll attack boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai combinations. Bodyweight moves. And a fat-blasting cardio spike in every round. You won’t just pummel calories…you’ll blast fat off your core.

Group Cycle-Intimidated? Don't be! Group cycling is a great way to build cardio endurance while blasting calories – and best of all, doing it at your own pace (you control your intensity!).

HIIT-  NEW - Stands for High Intensity Interval Training and that is just what it is. High intensity, 20-minute session, and just as much calorie-burn as a longer workout. Take one of the newly-added evening classes, or stay for two-in-a-row. Get in a quick, effective workout, then get out and back to your day!

Kettlebell- Kettlebells provide a high energy, full-body movement targeting the core.  Class will move in a slower sequence concentrating on proper form and technique while still delivering a great cardio and resistance combined workout.

MAX Fit- This 5 week adult program features bootcamp style workouts guaranteed to raise health, fitness, and physique to new heights. The total body workouts utilize combinations of high repetition strength training, calisthenics, plyometrics, speed ladder, dots training, body weight exercises, and cardio. Class meets 6-6:45 AM Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Cost: FREE for Members, $68/Prospective-Members.

Muscle Fusion - Double calorie burn, shred fat, and define your fabulous muscles. This 60 minute weight training class utilizes high reps, low weight, sports conditioning, and cardio intervals…then (as if that wasn’t enough) goes back and works each muscle to failure with a BONUS set!

Pilates I- This class will teach beginners the basics of Pilates, the ultimate core body workout.

Pilates II- Core body work for those with several weeks of Pilates experience.

PiYo - combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. And, we crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined.


Pound® - Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND® transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements.

Qi-Gong- is a form of gentle exercise composed of movements that are repeated a number of times, often stretching the body, increasing fluid movement (blood, synovial and lymph) and building awareness of how the body moves through space.

RIPPED®- “One stop body shop.” R.I.P.P.E.D. focuses on resistance, interval, power, polymetric, and endurance as well as diet. This whole body workout class will work your muscles to fatigue while concentrating on correct form. A 50 minute calorie burning class that will have you coming back week after week!

Silver Sneakers® Cardio Circuit  –Combine fun with fitness to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance. This standing circuit workout develops upper-body strength with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball alternated with non-impact aerobics. Chairs are used for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

Silver Sneakers® Classic - Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Silver Sneakers ®Yoga Stretch – Yoga Stretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Strength Train Together- will blast all your muscles with a high-rep weight training workout. Using an adjustable barbell, weight plates and body weight, this workout combines squats, lunges, presses, and curls, with functional integrated exercises. Dynamic music and a motivating group atmosphere will get your heart rate up, make you sweat and push you to a personal best. All achieved in 60 minutes from start to finish!

Yoga– Breathe, stretch, and be strong. Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours and come ready to relax.

Zumba®– A Latin inspired dance workout mixed with upbeat, fresh music and you have a dynamite experience sure to pass the time. Come join the party!
