ATHLETE CAMP
Join our fitness expert and former Carroll football player Ben Wahl to stay in shape for all your summer activities and to be ready for the next upcoming sport season. Participants will work on speed, agility, flexibility, jump training, and cardiovascular fitness in a safe and supportive environment.
Ages: 13-18 years
Mondays & Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 AM

SHALL WE DANCE?
As part of engaging our community in a healthy, active lifestyle the Helena Family YMCA is now offering Friday Evening Dancing. Two, separate hour long group dance lessons will be offered followed by an ‘open floor’ for another hour. A range of dances will be taught including Cha-cha, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Swing, Fox Trot, and Waltz.
Ages
Classes are open to all ages and ability levels.
Couples and individuals are invited, although dance partners will be rotated at times throughout the instructional portion.
When
Dancing is offered every Friday evening.
6:30-7:30pm Series Dance Instruction
7:30-8:30pm Beginning Dance Instruction
8:30-9:30pm Open Dance
Where
Dancing will be in the Helena Family YMCA Group Fitness Studio.
Member
Dancing and lessons are free for all YMCA members.
Non-Member
Dancing and lessons for non-members is $3 per person and $5 per couple.
Child Care Information
Unfortunately, Child Care is cancelled due to lack of use.
What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes with non-marking soles.
Schedule
Series Dancing is intended for those who are committed to attending a set number of classes to learn intermediate and advanced moves. Each class builds on the lesson before.
Swing: April 13, 20, 27, & May 4
Beginning Dancing is designed for those wanting to drop in any Friday evening to learn a beginning level of dance.
April 13 Cha Cha & Merengue, April 20 Swing, April 27 Waltz & Fox Trot, May 4 Merengue
TEEN FITNESS CLASS
Teens! Questions about fitness? Want to learn how to use the fitness equipment? Need instruction on proper lifting technique? Our popular Teen Fitness class will continue in May.
Wednesday - May 9th: 4:00-5:15 (Nutrition & Healthy Eating)
Thursday - May 17th: 4:00-5:15 (Muscles & Movements)
Wednesday - May 23rd: 4:00-5:15 (Equipment Orientation & Technique)
** Please note, all 3 classes must be attended **
*Students will receive card entitling use of the YMCA Fitness Center
*Students will learn safe practices and techniques in using workout equipment *Students will receive a $10 Hastings gift certificate upon completion of the class
A (12) student maximum will be applied to the session. Enroll at the Helena Family YMCA front desk. Total cost $10.00 for Members, $20 for prospective-Members.

Do you have questions understanding the fitness equipment? Come to our new Member equipment orientation.
YMCA Health & Wellness Director Ben Wahl will be your guide giving advice, demonstrations, and instructions on the proper use of all fitness equipment. This knowledge will help you build a better plan in achieving your health and fitness goals.
This is a great way to meet our staff, meet other new members...and, well, meet your muscles!

OULA
Oula is an inspiring and super fun dance workout! Oula offers the perfect balance between the ‘hip’ and the ‘hippy’ with its structured, easy to follow, fun choreography while at the same time encouraging self-expression and freedom of movement. Because musically, Oula incorporates hip-hop with Hindu and tribal with top 40s, this variety provides a base from which to experience an incredibly broad range of emotion, movement, style and sensation all within one hour.

EAST HELENA
The Y is proud to offer fitness classes for our neighbors in East Helena. Classes are taught by trained, YMCA staff at the Main Street Gym (City Hall) in downtown East Helena. Classes are included with a Y membership. There is a $5.00 fee per class for non-members. Punch cards are also available for purchase at the YMCA front desk.
