Pickleball is one of the country’s fastest-growing games among all ages.
It’s a mix of super-sized ping pong & miniature tennis. Pickleball is fast-paced using paddles & a wiffleball on a small playing court utilizing volleys, lob shots, backhands, forehands, and crushing hits.
Games can be played with both doubles and singles on both inside and outside surfaces.
All ages and abilities are welcome to play. At the Y we have three indoor regulation pickleball courts. Play is pickup style and ability levels are often integrated helping to raise skill sets while allowing the game to grow.
The Helena Family YMCA has easy setup nets, wooden paddles, and teal pickleball for playing. Some players choose to bring a personal paddle and preferred ball.
At the Y pickleball is scheduled weekly and can also be played during open gym time.
