Counselor in Training (CIT)

For future Camp Child counselors, the Counselor in Training (CIT) Camp cultivates the potential in our teenagers to be the leaders of tomorrow. The students will train under current senior counselors and camp leadership to get a foundational understanding of leadership, character, and the technical skills to be a successful Camp Child counselor. Undergoing the same tasks as the overnight campers, the CIT Cadre will participate in Camp programs that have been redesigned from the ground up with a new curriculum centered on providing our youth the building blocks of character development, leadership, confidence and self-awareness. The new curriculum takes advantage of our unique geography with new daily modules in outdoor adventure activities, natural sciences, and creative arts, all led by our professional instructors. The CIT camp will not only give our Cadre the foundational tools to build an exemplary life, but the skill set to help others do the same.
