RESPECT

It's at the core of who we are, what we stand for.  At the Y you are respected for your individuality, your beliefs, your culture, your ideas.  You are respected for who you are.  The Y understands the value of being a kid, and the value of growing up to become a caring, contributing adult.  We're here to help you on your journey to adulthood by offering safe, fun programs that engage you, enlighten you and help you grow.

YOU GOT SERVED

Now in our 3rd summer, “You Got Served” is a free summer program for middle school students and is sponsored by the YMCA and Youth Connections. The purpose of the camp is to provide Helena’s middle school students with opportunities to volunteer in the community, explore different career options, and help them realize their dream of going to college. Students will leave each day with a sense of accomplishment and will be motivated to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams. Campers will have the opportunity to attend several field trips and participate in fun and exciting summer activities. Additionally participants will earn a one-year YMCA membership for their hard work. This opportunity is made possible by a grant from the Lumina Foundation and generous donations from our community.

 Weekly Curriculum Overview

Every week, campers will have the opportunity to volunteer at various community organizations, learn from exciting guest speakers, explore scholarship and financial aid options, and develop their career and college portfolio. Campers will experience the outdoors through at least one adventure trip each session. Additionally, participants will promote healthy living while riding their bikes to and from service sites. Lunch is provided each day.
