Afterschool STEM Program for 6th-8th Grade

Helena Family YMCA Learning Centers provide a safe, structured, academically enriching environment. Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) program seeks to provide students with opportunities to develop 21st Century multidisciplinary skill sets that foster open-ended problem-solving skills where there's no correct "textbook” answer.  Through hands on learning students will develop leadership, critical thinking, teamwork, communication skills and much more.

  • The Jet Toy Challenge
  • The Motorized Toy Car Challenge
  • F1 in Schools Challenge

Start Date: September 2018

Parent Orientation: TBA

Time: M 2:15 to 5:30 pm     T-F 2:50 to 5:30 pm

Location:  Helena Middle School

Cost: $110 per month (about $4.50 per day)   Financial assistance is available                     A minimum of 15 kids is required to run the program
