Grade Levels:  Boys & Girls 2nd - 8th grade:  An introduction to competitive volleyball.  Boys and girls in 2nd - 3rd grade use lighter volleyballs, lower nets, smaller courts, & small sided games.  Boys and girls in 4th-6th grade will use lighter volleyballs and a smaller court and will play 6 on 6.

Registration Period:  The registration period for most sports programs ends at least one week prior to the start of the season.  This ensures adequate time to build rosters, create schedules, find coaches and secure practice facilities.

If you miss the registration period, your child's name will be placed on a waiting list.  If there is room on a team, you will be notified and you will need to pay at that time.

Fees:  Fees for the 2017 season are as follows

$78.00 Activity Fee

All registrants who register during the registration period will get an early registration discount of $10.00

Y-members in good standing (you must have a family membership to receive discounts on programs) will receive an additional $30.00 off

Practices:  your child's practice time and site will be determined by the coach after the coaches meeting.  Practices are usually one hour or shorter and one time per week.

Skills Days:  There will be a couple of scheduled skills days that all players will be invited to attend to focus on specific volleyball skills. Dates and times are still to be scheduled. There is no additional cost for these skills days, it is part of the program.

Games:  A game schedule will be given to you by your coach, at the first practice.  Games are usually once per week and last about an hour.  Most games are held on Thursday or Friday Nights at the YMCA.  This is determined by the sports director and is dependent on facility availability.

Team Selection:  Participants are placed on teams by school on a first-come, first-served basis.  Occasionally teams fill up before the registration period has ended, therefore it is recommended that you sign up early.

Requests:  Requests for team mates and coaches will be considered but are not guaranteed except in the case of immediate family.

Program Withdrawal:  Our purpose is to provide the best quality programs for the most affordable price, based on adequate enrollment.  Therefore, NO REFUNDS will be granted once the season has started.  Please be sure your child is ready for participation in sports before enrolling.  A credit (minus a 25% administrative charge) can be arranged for future programs.  All requests must be in writing.

YMCA Philosophy:  In YMCA youth sports, we strive to provide a structured environment emphasizing fun and learning, while teaching sportsmanship and teamwork.  In YMCA youth sports, every child gets the opportunity to participate equally, regardless of his or her ability.  Everyone plays at the YMCA!
